Fred Reed
Fred Reed is Vice President of the TCI. He is a systems scientist, software engineer, consultant, and entrepreneur. He is engaged in a number of roles in The Coreporation Inc. (TCI), from business development, coaching, and client services to technology products and IT infrastructure. He designed and implemented the web-based system for managing and administering on-line assessments for TCI. Previously, Fred has held various management and executive positions in several small and start-up technology businesses.
As a technologist and inventor, Fred has developed a number of significant systems ranging from web-based social collaboration applications to autonomous machine-learning systems, for which he has been issued several U.S. Patents.
Fred has a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and an MS Degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His primary research interests include the science of signs (semiotics) and pragmatic philosophy, with applications to machine, human, and organizational performance and learning. Fred has developed TCI's Profiles Website and all TCI's web-based technology.
Fred has a longstanding interest and involvement in educational system reform, and he (along with his children), has substantial first-hand experience in various forms of homeschooling, alternative education, and cyber-schools. He is a Board Member of Core Learning Services, Inc., TCI's non-profit educational affiliate.
