For Teams

The Team Balance Profile

The Team Balance Profile (TBP) assesses how a team is functioning both as a unit and as an aggregate of its members.  Most team assessments reflect only the aggregate scores of its members, and we have found that the comparison of these two is highly instructive. In addition, the TBP provides each team member with confidential feedback on his or her effectiveness in each of the 5 Elements of Success. And lastly, the TBP permits not only team members, but also other stakeholders to provide feedback on the team's strengths and improvement needs.

The TBP is useful as a foundational tool for a project team's strategic planning, and also for developmental work for teams that need a fresh perspective to resolve resistant issues and/or to re-engage. re-energize, and re-focus its members.  The Team Balance Profile can also be used for typical team-building purposes, for example, to improve a team's functioning overall, eliminate in-fighting, or to get unstuck.

The Core Type Profile

The Core Type Profile (CTP) provides team members with an assessment of their preferences among 10 different work, interaction, and decision-making styles. Taken together the team members' CTPs help the group understand the likely strengths and weaknesses of the whole unit--and also why some member might be rubbing each other the wrong way.

This feedback is helpful to reveal "group-think" biases that may be keeping them stuck and getting in the way of their ability to problem-solve, implement significant change, or deliver the products for which they are responsible.
